Norman 11th century version 2

Description

11th century Norman male costume I made for myself, for a reenacting show in Falaise, Normandy, birthplace of William the Conqueror.

To make this costume, I did not use any pattern or sources, just my inspiration, and the result was approved. I love this new costume. It's confortable, warm when it's cold and pleasant to wear even when there's bright sunshine. I'm wearing grey wool leg wrap, sand linen hose, green linen braes, and a tunic of natural linen, under my mixed colors wool tunic. When it gets cold, I wear a phyrygian hat, which I'm holding in my hand and don't really like because they make you look stupid. I made the belt as well (card weaving) and I bought the natural felt bag in Morocco.

I love the color of my wool tunic. I was asked to make a similar one for a fellow reenactor, in a sicilian norman fashion.

Tunics were typically past knee-length on men, especially in this time period when the skirts were so full.  It's skillfully chosen, however.  Might I ask how your belt fastens?
