Hastings Pink Anglo-Saxon

This costume was made in september for Hastings 2010.
Patrick was slightly reluctant to wearing pink, but he had to admit that this color actually suits him.

I didn't do much research,I just built the costume according to my basic knowledge, but I received many positive comments and the clothes were approved by our Jarl.

Tunic is made of pink and light red linen, with green and red embroideries ( very simple stitch)

His undertunic is actually an old tunic that I enhanced (it used to be quite short and plain white) The collar is embroidered with blue linen chain stitch

Patrick also carries a leather pouch I made, and a knife bought in York, which I unfortunately left in my cabin luggage and was thus confiscated at the airport :S shame.

All the trousers of my costumes were bought in charity shop. They're avaible,cheap, and acceptable, so there's really no need to make them.

The winningas are made of red wool, and adorned with a simple yellow wool stitch.

For once, I didn't make the shoes, but ordered them to a traditionnal shoe maker in Morocco. The result did not meet all my expectations, but they are definitely period.

We had a great time and we can't wait to wear our costumes again !

Collars and hems were hand stitched
